For the crappy amp that I hooked up a Fi Q to it got crazy loud and sounded pretty damn good, and that was in a box that had a Sony Xplod in it before we swapped it

 

i've owned both the type X and ID MAX, and although the type x is a nice sub, the ID Max is a much better all round performer.
the only -tive i hear about them is their durability. but have ACTUALLY owned one, i have no hesitations whatsoever saying they can take a beating.

never heard the Fi, but its supposed to be more near the spl end of the spectrum is it not?

 

The Fi.Q is a very SQ oriented sub.
I've been very impressed with the Fi product, each and everytime I hear them.
I'm itching to hear my BTL's.

 

id...fi is a strong #2. i hate to let id go...just not make enuff $ off them to keep them.

 

Doesn't matter to me which sub, IMO the cabinet will make it or break it.

 

wow a lot of people have used the Fi. They are leading the poll right now. I have to admit that from a new retail cost point, they do have a big avantage, although good, used and new type x's can be found at quite a discount. I'm very familiar with the type x, and I think they're great, but would like to try something new, and while the ID max I've never used, I am familiar with the IDQ series and I like those a lot as well. Really curious about the Fi, and wanted to get some opinions.

 

The enty level I D subs sound better than then X imo. Done builds around both. The X isn't really all that in my book
