What the freakin difference?

In the spec of the SAE there's a line

"Linkable to another SAZ-1000D for 1800 watts @ 2 ohms"

Is this a typo or they are the same internally?

i thin one of them is not strappable.

nah both are...

the weird part also is that both now have 3x25A fuse but mine (SAE) got 3x30A, so i don't know if it work like that but 3x25A = 75A and running at let say 14.4v will put out 1080w MAX (75A x 14.4v). Those amp are supposed to put out 1000w @ 1ohm, is it possible that they are efficient @ 93%???

The SAZ is similar internally, but he upgraded the power supply, and a few other components. Basically made them less fragile.

The new SAE-1200 is a non-strappable amp that is replacing the SAE-1000D.

The SAZ-1000D has 70-amp FETs in the power supply rather than 50-amp FETs.

The SAE amp rarely had any problems to begin with (statistically second most reliable amp in the line next to SAX-100.2), so I wouldn't say it was fragile by any means. But we upgraded those components and gave it the new SAZ style casing, which is much thicker and heavier.

You have to full 4X the fuses rating for them to instantly pop. They ae a super precise magical cutoff. they are rated to allow their rating in current to pass through before any temperature gain. So it only becomes a noticable resistor AFTER it's rating. Most you can pull 15-20% over their rating through them but they start becoming parasitic. Doing remote starters for a wuite a few years I have many half melted fuses(the plastic becomes rounded and burnt looking, but the filaments are still perfectly intact. This usually happens with over a 45 amp draw on a 30 amp rated fuse.
