Super subs. If you want crazy loud with decent sq, go with DD 9500 series or RE XXX series. Are you looking to compete, or just want a bumping system?

Yup, then go with DD9500 series or RE XXX with proper power and you will be satisfied.

amp

what about ampedge, im gonna need somethin better then what i got now....

Jevor 10-27-2006 09:16 PM

prolly 1500-2000 watts for your loud bump.

I think that will be more than sufficient.

even a RE SX with 1000w true rms will give more than 90% of the people on the planet will need... (the other 10% are in here i think..lol)
extremely loud IMO

This is becoming one of them, as you can see.

I wouldn't recommend XXX for his application. Obviosuly the author cares more about the alarms than quality that xxx is capable of, so even the SX will cost less and would be better for his app, wouldn't it? :)

But even before recommending all these subs, he better specify how much power he has or if his electrical system will handle it.

Honestly an RE SX in a spec box will pound you silly. I got rid of mine becuase it was too much for me at only 900rms... Silly i tell ya ...

All you need is the sx's, trust me, that will be loud but clean. xxx's are more of a competition woofer.

Heard alot of good reviews on the Hifonics SPL Subs and yes they do set off car alarms:D

Smoke_31 11-02-2006 08:24 AM

I'm running a dd9515 and I'm pushing 2000W rms to it. These subs are freakin loud and still sound decent. I support them 100%.
