I have to do a survey for my self employment program, if anyone who owns or runs a shop would like to answer these questions it would be much appreciated.

1. How many employees do you have?

2. How much square footage do you have dedicated to retail?

3. How much square footage do you have dedicated to install/service?

4. Do you have a table saw?

5. Do you have a router table?

6. Do you have an RTA or SPL meter?

7. Do you have a dedicated shop demo vehicle?

SO far I have results from Castle Auto Works, Echo Audio Video Unlimited, F/X Audio, Decibals Autosound, Elite Tuning Performance Sound, Stay Tuned, and Adrenalin Audio. I would highly recomend that these are all great guys with many who shared alot of great insight. On the other hand the guy at Audio Concepts in Grande Prairie was a complete ass. He keeps his table saw and router table in his living room, and their shop vehicle is an 81 Chevette with 2 tens

Dereck, here ya go.

(1) 2 full time - 4 part time
(2) store 1 - 700 sq.ft.
store 2 - 1000 sq ft.
(3) store 1 - 780 sq ft.
store 2 - 1200 sq ft.
(4) yes in both
(5) could with ease but did not find it necessary
(6) yes - it floats to where I need it
(7) yes - I prefer to use a customer vehicle for this and worked a deal with the customer. By choosing a customer vehicle it increases my exposure. I chose a friend / customer who works at a complimentary business to do this. He provided the vehicle and the budget, we provided the equipment and work within that budget. The vehicle is available at any point it time. I may actually finish one of my own vehicles if and when I have the time and if and when I think it is going to be necessary.
