System Installed _______(pics)________
Ok, before you guys say anything, the box is not TOTALLY finished. I believe that it will look 460% better when I get the carpet on than it does now. Also, I have all the install pics but I will upload those later.
ONE HUGE PROBLEM!
After I got all this stuff installed I turned the car on and the engine whine problem was quadrupled! It is HORRIBLE
! Now it is not only a whine but also a loud distortion noise (this distortion noise varys with the rumble of the engine and the rpms, the whine varys with the rpms). The crazy thing is, when I put the parking break ON the problem gets A LOT less noticable. I can not hear or feel anything comming from the subwoofer. Do you guys have ANY idea what is going on
? One time I drove around the house and the distortion noise just stopped? (although the whine was still present)

check that four ch amp. Ive had some funny problems with them. Try grounding the RCA's. also try grounding the outer chasis of the amp. One of those four channel amps I instaled made a huge spark when you grounded the chasis
Amplifier chassis not grounded? Add 10awg ground cable from chassis of amp to vehicle chassis.
Did you use the factory ground for the Head unit? If so, change it, to the chassis of the car, direct from the H/U. Try the fuse box for Ign. power(+) battery(natural noise filter) for constant 12V, especially if the Head unit's wires are thicker than factory harness wires.
Check your RCA's for poor solder
Check speaker wires not pinched to chassis ground.
Beef up Ground to battery (I'm sure you did that one)
Use process of elimination, to locate where the noise is coming from.
Chances are your parking brake may be affecting how a connection is being made? are any cables moving when you apply the brake?
How is the battery charge? is it a lead acid type (that needs filling up)?
Try a larger battery?
If you don't hear or feel anything from the sub, is the amplifier on? has the sub out been turned on from the HU?

now i need to know why do you have 2 red wires going to the amp
(if you ran a red - and a red + i think you flipped the wire to the sub amp
Ok, the distortion noise just comes and goes now???? Last night I was pulling into my yard and as I downshifted the noise got LOUD! This morning when I got off work I could only hear a slight whine which is not heard after I turn the volume up past 5.
I will sort through all of your suggestions and do the ones that I haven't tried but so far absolutely nothing has worked. I have tried the following:
grounded amp to chasis,
grounded hu to chasis,
grounded hu directly to battery,
grounded rca's on amplifier,
ground loop isolator (worked but small popping noises were present),
I currently have the headunit grounded on the ground wire for the amplifier. This means that there is about 4 feet of 0 gauge leading from the negative terminal on the battery to 4 feet of 10 gauge and 4 feet of 0 guage leading to the head unit and the amplifiers. (That probly sounds stupid but I was running out of options and HAD to try it, haha).

And the sub works perfectly fine. I just can't hear any distortion or whine from it (which is VERY good) yet at the same time my component speakers distort and whine HORRIBLY? (yes, I have checked the route of my speaker wires).

if Ground does not have the same # at each toy (amp deck line diver so on ) you will get distortion or whine
