System for my 2000 Sunfire

Hey guys, im kinda new to the whole car audio thing... But i have my 2000 sunfire and ive decided that it needs a little more bass. So i am wondering what kind of subs/amp you would suggest. I was going to get a powered sub from best buy for 300 but i figuered if i invested a little more i could get a way better set up. Im looking to spend between 300-450 and maybe a little more depending.... I also only have my stock head unit so i am wondering how i would hook the amp into my system? Ive been reading some other forums and some guys said just to wire it into my rear speakers....

Any help would be awsome.

Thx

Nathan

With that kind of budget you may want to look into buying used.
A decent single 10-12" driver already in a enclosure and an amp to run it can easily be had for $450. Wiring can be found cheap also.

Here's more than enough wiring supplies for you:

Here's a very good sounding/performing sub for you from a seller I would trust:http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/car-audio-sale/20937-fs-crossfire-bmf-w12d-sql-sub.html
Plus he's got a ported enclosure for it so if you put them together and shipped them via Greyhound Bus it wouldn't cost much to ship.

And here's an amp to run a full system with from the same seller (front speakers, rear's if you wish, and a perfect sized sub channel for that sub I listed above):

So with this you'd be very close to your price point and then from here all you need is a deck and some main speakers (unless you have people in the back seats often I would recommend just using a single 6.5" component set in the front doors) and you're set with a great sounding system. Factory speakers in this car are horrible so if you really want a decent sounding car I've shown it can be done on a budget easily (and I kinda know a little about putting system's in a 2000 Sunfire).
