System specs.

Hello, I am new to car stereos and would like some help on sub s and power ratios. first off this is what I have installed so far. my head unit is a premier deh-600ub 50x 4 peak. which is powering my alpine spr17s in the front and alpines spr69c rear seat panel. I have 2 12 inch xsite subs in a sealed box that is not hooked up.I was thinking on buying a alpine 5 channel pdx-5 for the time being that would be 75x 4 +300x1. then later buying 2 12inch type r alpines. and a larger sub amp like 600x1. I don't need the loudest or the best just something that sounds and feels decent.

I would not recommend that you invest in such a good 5 channel amp right now to only use 4 channels of it later on. You would go far further with your system to purchase the right amps for the application you have now and in the future. If you have a budget in mind on the amp, that will allow me to look at possible configurations for you. Feel free to PM me or MSN me any information.

I definitely agree with MR2NR as it would be a waste to buy a 5 channel just to use it as a 4 channel in the end. You are in good hands with MR2NR.

I would like to stay with the alpine theme but I could go with the ALPINE MRP-F600 for the front and perhaps a ALPINE MRP-M1000 for the subs.that's abbout 545.00 I just dont want the bass to over power as I listen to metallica alice n chains limp biskit ect.thanks for your help and schooling. that's 100x 4 for the main and 500x 2 for the subs.

Guess it would be 600 watts at 4 ohm, don't know about the type r, but my xsites are dvc so I think they should handle a 2ohm load. what you think?
