Is there any procedure for taking care of the foam surround on a sub?

Hair moose and steel wool facial scrub with an acetone after-wash toner............. and don't slip with the drill when installing and slam the bit through the surround and bounce it off the spider.

I believe many foam surrounds are now treated to last much longer so it shouldn't be an issue with a high quality speaker.

-Chemicals are bad (glue, resin, grease, armorall)
-time is bad -UV is bad -screwdrivers very bad -moisture shouldnt be (they design the foam to resist moisture but few materials are hydrophobic) |
Paul-ee, it's been rare, but the sh!tty thing is this, it's always been my gear............... in my vehicle, that I'm installing late into the night.............. because I had to work on someone else's vehicle during normal daylight hours while I was sane. Life just ain't fair. I still remember the one time I slipped with the hammer on the inside of one of my past trucks that I owned and created a nice goose egg on the external panel.
