Anyone know if the Tangband 8" will work alright in small sealed enclosures? I have about .25 cubes to work with. Thanks!

If you get one, let me know how they work out, i'm looking at getting one, putting it into a ported enclosure. They look like a killer sub.
Did you sell your RE 8's? |
Yeah I sold the RE's. They were nice little subs, I just never got around to getting an amp that would match up well with the 2 ohm subs. Sounded good though. Looks like I could pick one up locally, in Burnaby maybe.

No sealed! Ported!

^^ I agree, go for a ported box.
If you are really tight for space, give it a try sealed. |
Thanks guys, I already have my small sealed console box, but I am in the process of learning all about fiberglassing, so maybe I will be doing a redesign....

You sold your RE8s? damn - I may want 3 more

I really wasn't all that impressed with the TB-8... You can get a lot more from an inexpensive 10-inch subwoofer, not a mid-woofer...
Even a cheap ten-inch will smoke it. Entry level anything from a japanese company, Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony.. any of them.. Plus, you get a waranty! |
Tangband!?!? Sounds like a bikini bottom to me...
:D |
im running my dual TB's in 0.6 cu^ft sealed each, going to be trying ported come spring.
I really enjoy them, one of my fav woofers Ive used so far. |
