Thinking of switching vehicles, 06/07 Chevy HHR
Thinking of getting a Chevy HHR. My brother recently got one, and I like how it's design is that of a '50ies Chev/GM panel truck.
Oh to just convince the wife now. :) Just curious too, how does one become sponsered for their sound system? Do the manufacturers sponsor, or just pretty much the reseller/vendor of a particular brand? Just wondering if companies such as Alpine, Morel etc... sponsor individual competitors with supplying them with equipment to compete with? Tim |

Go for an '07, the '06s were the first year and had a couple issues that were fixed in later models. These are good vehicles for the price, but they rattle quite a bit. A guy in the states did quite well in SPL with one once it was fixed up though.

A guy I work with had one ... honestly, worst vehicle I've ever seen ... so many things broke with the vehicle, including handles, sunroof, window, dead battery (multiple times), etc, etc, etc ...
Not sure if HIS was a lemon, because I've read reviews online ever since and people are generally happy with the vehicle. But, I just thought I'd mention that upfront, because I TOO thought oh, what a cool looking vehicle, newer so it can't be that bad and then to see this guy leasing the vehicle with all these problems ... things were breaking left and right and Chevy really didn't get a crap to help. |
Thanks for the input guys. It's on the back burner now. So sticking with Honda for now, mainly that I don't think as trade in or sale value of my Honda will be as high as I'd hope.
Now if I can get a hold of a guy in my old car club, I could pick up my fav car again for cheap, 1985 Merkur XR4TI. :smilie_da Tim |
