I have a set of the ES620 Eurosports. I bought them from Woofersetc when they were having a CDT clearance. I paid 350 to my door for them and at that price they perform very well. Midbass was poor until I sealed up my doors and that made a world of difference.

That being said if you are looking at the same price point as I paid there are certainly comparable speakers available locally. If I had to do it over again I would have bought locally as the options locally sound comparable and have the added bonus of warranty.

Some that initially come to mind would be Alpine Type X, Morel, JL Audio however the list goes on.

If you are set on shopping online there are two website I have dealt with a few times and have had no problems. woofersetc.com and onlinecarstereo.com.

The ES line is pretty good but I've heard that the CL is so-so. Have a look at the Hybrid Audio Imagine serie

do you have shop around where you can audition some sets? If so go, it will be the best way to find what you need(and see if the 150 limit still fit).

As lpchouinard said, CL series are far from the es line. They use cheap silk dome tweeter and lack of midbass. You are better to spend a few more bucks to get AT LEAST the HD line. Also, you may consider the fact that (except for the slim speakers) CDT make oversize speakers when compared to other companies like focal so you're not getting "bolt-on" speakers.

So with that said, I had 2 or 3 sets of CDT and I don't regret it at all since the price I paid for is very fair and if you are ready to soundead your door and install them properly, I'm sure you will enjoy them.

not really modify, add spacers, im pretty sure they have big magnets that your window might hit when rolled down. and the sound deadners to get more of your sound back that the flimsy doors are robbing

All in all why buy one brand over another? Why would you buy something you have never heard? You could get lucky or not, shop local as there are numerous vendors all over NC . Then you can pick the one that actually sounds best to you.

A bargain that doesn't meet your needs is not a bargain
