Ok, well my dad is getting rid of the vette (chevette), so I was thinking of buying some thump **** for it, like some cheap 10"s and a couple cheap amps, and just build a box and see wat it can hit. It will more then likely be the ugliest sound ever, but the loudest of the ugly sound...So I dont know. Maybe I might be able to use a coupld JBL 1200.1 amps, and blow like 15 of those 10s!! ahah.

What are your guys thoughts on this??? Or is there another cheap company that can performer better for the same prices as the thump ****?? ahah

I have no intention of hittin higher then 100 db+ with this! ahah more for teh ****s and giggles!

ahaha, man i had a pyramid 1000 watt amp, that big red one ahaha it accually was pretty sweet.

well i dont know. i had that hooked up to my house running 2 sony xplode 10s" (this was like 3-4 years ago) the sonys were my first subs... but ya it was either the amp pushin the subs to hard, or it was the subs sounding like **** becouse the is **** and as well as the sonys are so it makes one ugly noise.. i dont know!!

I bought 14 thump 12's and put 6 in a wall with a JBL1200.1 wired down to .67ohms and did a 148.3 on a classic termpro meter at a visions competition in the summer....the thumps were the cheap $18.99 ones from XS Cargo and they wouldn't take more than maybe like 100 watts or so from my JBL amp before they popped....blew most of them in my last run :D here is a pic:

sorry man :( no pics with the Thumps in...that pic was like an hour maybe before the visions comp. and we were going hardcore to get it done...its all good tho [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] i also blew all the thumps up too.....The wall was 18 cubes(not counting port displacment) with 739 square inches of port.....I would suggest buying the model up from these becasue these have like 3mm of xmax and don't like power..they were pretty junky....but hey it got me a 2nd place [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] the wall was only one layer thick there too :eek: flexed pretty bad and didn't have the trim panels built...It went up like a db when it got the trim panels and was sealed off and went up again with a 2 layer baffle, back wall and reinforced sides.....first and only time i ever got and probably ever will beat team riprock too [img]smile.gif[/img]

I wanna try this, but with the ultra linear 10" subs, and some refurbished road gear 250 RMS amps put 2 amps on each sub, and laugh if I hit a 150 with 8 10s

wow that wall is a horrible design...I bet those woofers could have hit even better in the right hands lol

what is road gear, not to familiar with those?
