Top double din CD receivers
O.K., I've got a big hole to fill. Looking for a double din CD receiver that has all the current bells and whistles. Decent RCA volts, TA, EQ, and good Xover capabilities able to run 2/3 way active.
Seems like every DD deck I've ever seen just has the basics to replace factory ones. Any good DD decks out there? |
maybe an older one would have some... but the advanced stuff is seldom in the double DIN...
Panasonics tubed unit is nice, McIntosh had a double din in the Subaru |
I've been looking for quite some time now... You'd think that with all that space they would be loaded with goodies. lol. There has to be a good DD deck somewhere with a solid set of features. :dunno:
Maybe Rob will have some ideas... :) I'm going to research that Panasonic deck. |
Eclipse AVN726E, this is a incredible deck.

Eclipse looks nice. There's no TA, and only 3 band EQ??? How flexable is the Xover controls? I don't really need NAV, more interested in the SQ goodies.

The New pioneer PIONEER FH-P8000BT sure looks nice

Sorry... I couldn't resist. |
^^^^ someone had better get their facts straight. Bankrupt you say? Please provide the info on this, I would love to see it. I see the rumour mill strikes yet again. Fujistu Ten owns Eclipse and Fujitsu Ten is not bankrupt by any means. They decided to go back to what they did originally and build OEM equipment only, something that they did at the same time as build Eclipse. So certain models of Eclipse are still available, primarily the ones that are OEM builds like the double din nav units. The rest of the equipment that Eclipse had in their CDN warehouse, is now in my warehouse and a couple of others in Eastern Canada.
