Anyone here done some nice stealthy upgrades in a Toyota Tacoma extended cab? My buddy has a 2003 model, wants some better sound. Maybe replace the 5x7's up front with some better ones, or will 6.5's be a better match? Will 6x8's fit? Any idea how deep the front doors are? What about putting in some 6.5's in the back side panels, I think it has 5 1/4's stock. Maybe some JL 6W0's in either rear panel? Thanks for any and all input.

have fun with that car

I take it that stealth and Tacoma do not belong in the same sentence?

I belive JL Audio makes a stealth box for that truck - and perhaps MTX does also...???

Thanks Jared, yeah Jl does, MTX does for the single cab truck only. I will have to get creative with his truck, maybe some nice mids in the front doors, and hide a 6W0 away somewhere.

Stick with some 5x7 coaxials, or do a plate with some 6.5's? Any ideas?

do 8's in the doors, or a pair of 6w0's or something

Anybody know for sure if 6x8's will fit in the front? I am thinking maybe a 6.5" comp set, make a plate for the mid opening, and pop in the tweeter above. Are most 6x8's usually 5x7's with wider mounting tabs? Thanks.
