what makes them better distributors ?
Products ? or Service ? ........please explain !!
( oh and I'm not asking because I want to pick at your reply, but constructive criticism is always welcome in my book !! )
Just interested in your opinion on what makes a distributor better than another !!

For me personally it was what I perceived at the time as their business philosophies such as distribution, stocking levels, support and finally - the people they employed.
I'm not saying that I thought Trends sucked. I used to sell their products and tried my best to support them. Then one day it changed and all went to hell. The day I met Billy. I'll stop at that.
All distributors should constantly be mindful that their customers' perception of them will be most influenced by the people sent out to service them.
Of course this may be completely different today but opinions are like bad habits - hard to change.

IMO a good rep is one that is......................
willing to help your business, not just come in looking for a order............
One that comes to a show with out having to be asked or be hounded (and doesn't get plastered at the show)........
One that will make stock adjustments to help your business, if something isn't moving, exchange it for something that will.................
One that isn't a gossip queen...............
One that will help you out when your in a pinch and need gear quick...............
One that WANTS to work with you even though you aren't buying huge amounts on a regular interval.................
One that understands what level your store is at and works with you in accordance...................
and if SHE is 5'9, blonde with great ummm......."assets" then that is even better
Since I have opened my own shop I now know who I like and who I don't that I have had contact with (some I thought were nice and good before)..............you think short term you will be short term................
