Two amps to one sub??

I was wondering if there is a way to use both my Rockford punch300.1 and Rockford Power 351m to power my Jl 12w3v34 Subwoofer??

I don't know if this is possible but was wondering if it can be done somehow?

The amps outputs are both in the 350W range at 2ohms.......If you have a dual 2ohm sub you could use 1 on each coil.....setting the gains on them would be a pain but it could be done.

Don't listen to this guy, he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about... all you need is a cap!

Seriously, on a DVC subs it's not a good idea to use 2 amps (even less 2 differents one) and on a SVC you will need a circuit to "bridge" both amp together(does it exist) and even then this is just another easy way to blow the subs and/or amps.

If you want more punch, replace both amp by a more powerful one, or sell one of the 2 amps and get another 12w3v3(4).

Adding a cap would bring up the power on your rockford amp(s), but still not really the right way to go about this. The 12W3v3(4) is rated for 500 rms all day long. I'd sell both amps and buy one that puts out 500 rms @ 4ohms. Then you won't have any problems. I'd also make sure it's 2 ohm stable so should you decide to add another later, your amp will still be good.

Nice sub by the way.

Paul, the whole cap thing was a joke.
