type r vs. cvr
i currently have a 12"type r be running at 500 rms but if i can sell my sub, or trade for a dual 2 ohm then id possibly keep and run it at 1000 rms but if i sell id get 2 12"" kicker cvr and run them at 1000 rms would the 2 kickers be better then my type r?

Hah, I'm doing the exact opposite. I'm replacing my Kicker 10'' CVR for a alpine type R 10''.
My kicker died from what was concluded to be too much heat, and damaged the voice coil.
Any reason for wanting to get rid of the Alpine type R and going for the CVR?
I ran the kicker at 500Wrms in a sealed box.

becasue the type R was my first sub, and if i got another one id need about 1500rms to move them good and i just bought my amp last monday getting it maybe next week its in minneapolis got my knu wires today tho but yeah i can get 2 cvrs new for 200 and im selling my r for 200 so im getting 2 12"s and i wanna see how kicker sounds.

no i dont think so i think there the 07 models but just brand new, uhm well id be putting 1000 to the cvrs, and the R would only be 500 and if i bought another R id need another amp cuz they can take more then 1000 for 2 easy

i was running 2 12" CVRs and a rockford bd1000.1 in a ported box and i was hitting 138.X on the termlab with a WEAK electrical, like dropping to 10volts weak lol
i also ran a single 12" CVR in a big ported box with a hifonics BX1000D amp at 1ohm and it took hte 1000rms for months and is still working fine in the guys car that bought it from me
pretty good sub IMO
