forgot to mention this, but one nice thing about the Alpine's is that down the road you can order the 3 way upgrade set... which gives you 2 more x-overs, and 2 more 6.5 woofers, makes it easy to upgrade to a 3 way set in the future....

Mmmm, forgot about that little tidbit. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I think I'll still go for the xenon set if the shipping is not astronimcal. With the xenon's being such a great price, if I want to upgrade down the road I can do a straight overhaul and I'm not out big bucks.

 

For what its worth (Seems you made up your mind already) the type X's have great midbass. The tweet is laid back, sounds real natural. I wouldent pass them up for 235 bux

And you honestly think for 80$ or whatever it is, that the xenon's aren't a steal of a deal?

And by the way, Indoaudio will ship them via USPS, just send them an email, and they will accomodate you the best they can. They will ship it there best to absolutely minimize duty and brokerage (if any) that you may stumble upon.

 

USPS eh? Very interesting...do appreciate that. Thats the worst part about ordering off a site in the states. If you go through a forum usually they will accomodate, but most retailers are hell bent on ups. Hopefully I can get that xenon set for under 300 to my door. I know the type x's are a great set, but from what I've read, the midrange and tweets on the xenon set are great, and with the money I save I could just buy a pair of 8" mids down the road .
