I was responding in part to dodgerams' post about xmax in relation to the cone. Even having the flat cone, it still can smack the metal basket...kind of an abrupt and violent limit to its excursion capability.

I realise it can still hit the basket, but it would not have near the xmax if it had a regular cone
but yeah they are a suspension limit sub, wich IMO really kinda sucks, but I have yet to make the cones hit the basket feeding them 350 watts each
I'd feed em more but I think when they do reach their limit it won't be pretty so I take it easy on em

i dont know why ppl make such a big deal out of this sub/company? it's nothing special, there is about a dozen exact same subs that are made out of the same part and same quality. who cares about the xmax of an 8 inch sub for God's sake??? not like you gonna do some crazy spl with it anyways.
