upgrading alternator
I have a 2004 honda civic with ac and no other power options. Lordco said that it comes with a sock 70amp alternator. I have a 1200.1 + 300.4 amps. The mono amp will be only doing about 700-800rms to my subs because thats all they can take until i buy new subs. I have been asking around to upgrade the alternator and teamshadowspl has a kit that i can toss in the car. When i talked to a car electrical specialist he said that the computer controls the regulator on the alternator so i cant upgrade it. Is there a work around for this?

I have an 2003 and I would love to find an answer to this question. I found this thread here, but it is far from helpful or definitive.
What are some stats on the kit from teamshadowspl?

Check out Excessive Amperage too, they gave me a good quote on a 180amp alternator.
But I would like to get a definitive answer with regards to the Honda's voltage regulator before I spend that kind of money.
