upgrading stock speakers

friend has a car(lol, its a gramma car and i wont embarass him anymore by saying what it is) with a cheap clarion db155 deck and all stock speakers. He wants to get a bit more bass out of it for as little money as possible...like somewhere around 100dollars. My initial thought was to just upgrade the 6x9s in the back, because then they could just run off the deck, and then maybe later on he could buy a sub and amp when he had the money....any suggestions?

look for a used bazooka tube with a built in amp. I've seen a few of them on ebay, and the buy and sell for under 100.00 for an 8" powered tube. They sound good.

ya..i was thinking about getting a bazooka tube actually...but i wasnt sure if it would be better than getting a decent pair of $100 6x9s...but i will look into them for sure

The cheap 6x9s would still have the cheap clarion powering them. net result is blah. :thumbsdow
