upgrasding truck to handle amp?

hey guys, im looking at buying a us amps md-3d amp for $500. First off is that a good price for it used, and secondly, will i need to upgrade my alternator, do the big 3, get a cap, or do anything else?

caps are a myth lol, no i just dont like them, but if you upgrade your alternator and big 3 and run large wire to the amp youll have no problem running it full tilt while the car is running, the benefits of upgrading your battery is more for if youll be competing or ever leaving the stereo on while the car is not running, im currently running 900 rms on a stock honda civic alternator with big 3 done in 4 awg and i dont have any electrical issues so depending on your vehicle you might not need to upgrade the whole system for daily driving, id say do the wiring first as its least expensive then try the system out (dont over do it) and see how it works, if youre satisfied then dont blow the extra cash on an alternator and battery
