Dave is REALLY going to cut you deals after he reads this.(he's in my basement right now)
LOL WOW is all I have to say.....
So you are saying the installer / shop owner will try and give the average consumer a high price? However if you know your car audio you can "talk him down".

What if the person doesn't "talk him down"? He just takes the extra high price money because the person was not "smart" enough to "talk him down"?

You have made your shop owner friend look greedy and unfair by your asinine post and I'll bet people on here remember that.

Johny that's pretty much how it is anywhere you go tho. Every car audio shop that i've seen, been at, had work done in, or just know the owner - they all operate in this manner. That's just business. If you dont know any better and just agree to pay who's gonna turn you down?

Another reason for initially high price is the expectation on the sales person's part that the customer will be talking him down. This way there is room for negotiation for both parties.

When the shop told King Kong $400 for the box I'm sure there is a good chance they could have settled at $350 AT THE LEAST.

Like i said before, Urban Disturbance is a very good shop, the best in the area probably. But the value of a job well done is totally up to the customer and his/her negotiation skills.

PS. Ray how's life? How's Dave?

How much for 2 12's but there's no point now because my enclosure is cut out for square subs . But still i would like to know . The guy Dave at urban told me that even RE's are not good as MTX 9500's. Its hard for me to believe that a 9500 12 is better then MT 12".

But if your tf1's are going to get louder then my Kicker's then i can arrange the money by selling my subs to someone. My kickers do get loud but the box is so big that its pretty hard for the air to move around because the trunk is pretty much covered by the box.

Still let me know , and please cut me a deal LOL. Btw i will be running them on the Hifonics amp its doing 1800 RMS or more on my current setup. I got the voltage checked and it was doing 13.96 Volts at full blast and 14.1 at normal volume.

wait, were you going to put a pair of those MTX 12's on 1800 watts? For musical applications MTX and RE MT are probably about the same. Both are not the best subs for music.

Two TF1 12's - $850
