Use high level amp inputs or line converter?

Will using a line converter to RCAs make any difference over using the high level inputs on my amp from the factory deck?

if it works good without the converter, why spend the bux?

Try it, it might work.
But if you get noise or interference, then buy the LOC.

I tried it, didn't work. Walked over to best buy (since the car was all torn apart) bought the 4 ch LOC and had it all working a few hours later.

Then I installed the new HU, much better sound!!

I still have the 40.00 LOC sitting in my garage, right were it landed when i installed the deck in Nov.

what sort of car is this

I take it your talking about the plug that plugs into the side of the amp right and gives you speaker leads.

If thats the case it all depends if the factory HU has that silly feat to turn down the bass when the volume goes up etc.You won't want that happen'ing thats for sure.

My friend bought a 06 charger not to long ago and wanted to keep the factory HU and wanted to cheapest LOC you can get $12 LOL.So i put it in and not a he week comes buy saying i have no bass from the interiour speakers LOL.I get in and the f'n thing is pined,it sound'ed so f'n bad.

I got out and laughed and not more then 1 hour he comes back and gives me jl audio clean sweep that they charged him $300 for LOL

It's a 1997 Ford Escort, with that oval center console, and I don't want to bother spending money to get a head unit, and the faceplate adapter and whatnot at this point. I just wanted to add some cheap bump to my ride.

I'm not having any issues with the speaker level inputs, I was just wondering if the converter would make any difference, since my inputs to the amp are spliced into the rear speakers with them still connected.
