I have the tweets and mid-range already. I was planning on using them with the 4x Vifa PLs I already have, but considering the Usher Mid-Bass a bit.

Click on pictures for more information:

Mid-Bass

Any opinions?
Crossover points/slopes suggestions?

I think it might be kinda unique to tell people when they ask that my front stage is all "Usher Audio" and see the puzzled look. Although "Vifa" Mid-Bass would get the same look from most people I'm sure.

Go all Usher! I have to admit that their drivers sound really good for the price. I have the same tweet and the 7" midbass and had them momentarily hooked up in my car. If all you need is the midbass, stick with the Usher. You might as well, and whether timbre matching is an issue, then all will be solved. &gt

Their home audio is excellent so their drivers are good sounding. I dont know if their home titainium series has been converted to 4 ohm

These are all home audio 8ohm drivers.

http://www.usheraudio.com/

Tweets are very efficient at 88dB
Mid-Range are very very efficient at 92dB
And those Mid-Bass are quite reasonable at 87dB
So I'm not all that concerened with their 8ohm status.

I'm toying with the idea of driving them with a New Zed Audio Leviathan which will have plenty of juice anyhow.

They have a home Titanium series?

oh yah .. wtf does this mean?

Timbre: The combination of qualities of a sound that distinguishes it from other sounds of the same pitch and volume (a piano, clarinet, oboe, and violin can hit the same tone but not the same timbre)

The drivers in a component set need to have simular or at least complimentary timbre presentation

If I go all active I can just level match the gains right?
The Leviathan will have uber crossover features built right in.

From the Zed Audio website

LEVIATHAN:

This is a six channel amplifier.

Channels 1+2 and 3+4 are identical in their function. High and Low pass crossovers with the ability to run them as bandpass as well. Crossovers run from 46Hz to 5KHz at 24dB/octave.
They can be run flat as well.

Channels 5+6 are the same again but have an extra high pass crossover running from 10Hz to 50Hz to act as a subsonic filter. Again all at 24dB/octave.

The six RCA inputs also have switchable function. First 6 in 6 out, second all 6 channels from RCA inputs 1+2 and lastly chs 5+6 receiving a mono signal from the mix of 1+2+3+4 inputs. This allows the use of a 5+1 system with constant subwoofer fading.

Planning on using one of my RFX-8250s for a source so might consider that aswell.

Think I'll need more crossover than that?
Seems like I will have the ability to band pass each set of channels if needed. No?

I really apprecite the comments
