Anyone know anything on Visonik? They have speakers that are dirt cheap. Is this a case where you get what you pay for?

Amps are good.. subs and speaker arnt the greatest but not total garbage either... the product is fairly cheesy overall.. (Ie stamped steel baskets and plastic amp end caps) but it still gets the job done...

Do a search man. Every week someone new on this site discovers xs cargo and then comes here to ask how good this crap is.
It's the same answers over and over...

If it looks like crap, smells like crap, feels like crap, sounds like crap and is priced like crap.....it's crap.

I have a visonik sub, it has a die cast aluminum basket, not stamped steel.

the good thing about all the xscargo brands is that you can learn a lot about making systems and SPL from testing the subs and amps. you can buy them super cheap and if they blow - who cares! go buy another pair.

i bought two 12'' MA Audio subs last year and pounded the hell out of them for the first half of the season until i got a hold of some beefier subs. they took all i could give em and still didn't blow. they sounded pretty bad, but they got the job done!

IMO, don't diss the xscargo stuff until you try it out. sometimes (and i use sometimes with great empahsis) you can hook up with a good deal from xscargo.

on another note....
i've been looking for a Visonik V812D2 sub all over but can't seem to find one. they used to have them at xscargo, but some guy bought the last pair at the store in calgary a day before i could get there!
i've managed to find 1 but i want another one to make a pair. anyone know where i might find one? (preferrably new or hardly used?)
