Thanks, I just thought because he mentioned it is only 50 watts per channel I thought he might be talking about a diffrent amp? this amp says pwr 400 on the face of it and I can't see it being a 50 or 100 watt amp! maybe defro13 can clear that up for me?

I don't want seem rude, if it seems that way, I am sorry, I'm just trying to learn about this amp!

also is stereo when you run the channels seperatly and not bridged, like one channel to one sub and the other to the other sub?

Thanks Steve

Did you happen to get that amp at Cash Converters by the Superstore on KGH? I saw it there and told another member of this board (islandphile) about it as he has some Wavelength amps and is a big fan. By the time he phoned to buy it, it had sold. To you?

PM islandphile as I'm sure he has knowledge about these amps, which are very nice BTW. Tim if you know of more of these, let me know.

Hey Tim or Defro I would love to get a PWR 400 to round out my collection. I have seven PWR50 still in boxes NIB and one PWR150 NIB.

Rated power from the manual for the PWR400 is:

2x 200 W @ 4 ohm stereo
2x 350 W @ 2 ohm stereo
1x 650 W @ 4 ohm mono

Stereo Separation 78 dB
THD .03%
signal to noise >100dB
Dampening Factor >450

Standard Features:
-Mosfet Power Supply
-Class AB Circuitry
-Internal Bridging
-Dual Gain Controls
-Over Current Protection
-Oversized Haetsink
-Din & RCA inputs

The company was located in Mississauga, Ontario, and made the 50, 100, 150 and 400 PWR amps.

Due to the fact that DIN and RCA inputs are bridged internally you can daisy chain amps together. The thermal protection circuitry will shut off the amp at 160 deg F. They recommended a cooling fan if you're gonna run at 2 ohms stereo or in bridged mode. But they were optimized to run into 4 ohm stereo.

You would probably think it is worth owning, most will not.

A PM would have been better communication.
