Now you can buy EVERYTHING that Mitek sells off their online store................
http://www.mitekfactoryoutlet.com/ What the hell..........................way to support the retailers guys !!! |
yep got the link sent to me this morning. words ing fast.

Hopefully prices will be retail only available to the public.
|
Pricing appears to be full retail plus I assume there will be shipping charges and in Canada the whole customs hurdle.
|
Bigger question here is....how long until their competition ramps up to do the same. This was expected and sadly this is not the only industry that works this way but it is also the direction that business is heading whether we like it or not.

Are all major brands not already available online?
At the risk of continuing to piss off the retail voice here - would you not rather have something like Mitek selling at retail then Jimmy's Unauthorized Etailer selling at whatever they can get? Neither is ideal but is it not a 'lesser of two evils' thing? |
Good question Paul, if faced with an either or kind of choice, I would side with the Mitek approach. I'll leave the detail out of the discussion at this time.

Retail plus.
For example you could buy a MXS1204 from Mitekoutlet for 269 USD + shipping + Brokerage, Or from Fs at 349 canadian. On sale 299. 269 USD exchange at 25%= 336 cdn? I am missing something? |
What you have missed is the fact that the e-store has "taken the consumer out of the market" and now all that person's local dealer can do is sell the install and maybe some wire.
Whether it be Rockford, Mitek or any other brand with an online store, what these manufactors have to realize is that if you screw your dealers, they will eventually screw you too. [ July 22, 2005, 02:44 AM: Message edited by: mike bisson ] |

Sounddomain sells obcon online. For example a single 10" box is listed at $79.99 and when you add to cart it takes off an addition $10. Mitek Factory Outlet gives little to no advantage to a customer over a retailer, especially in canada. Isnt the whole point of the online arguement that a customer can get a huge price advantage from the unauthorized etailer? |
