There's no one answer.......... people are all over the map on this one.

The Canadian Car Audio market is super soft. It's hurt. It sucks. It's reality.

Dealers crying about the internet and Ebay...... there's no solution. And Dealers keep on closing up. It's reality again.

I was talking to a Dealer and they can buy a big name brand CHEAPER from the USA on the net then from their Canadian distributor. Ha, ha, ha.............. now that's funny.

Car audio is dying in Canada. Get out while you can

i think the general public is getting tire of the typical boom & flashy systems, and most shops don't sell real SQ system........... which leave most of the stock stereo system in the newer cars kicks over aftermarkets! and yes, Ebay don't help either.......

btw:
here's a good thread about the industry from cs&p....... Clicky

actually... performance seems to be the winner! and cosmetic was not high up in priority at all vs build quality, value, etc.

i say value and performance... i want some good bang for my buck, and well cosmetic wise, you can usually find a way to hide it or make it look good if its ugly... exept maybe a HU, that could be tricky.

Yes it is sad how all the little guyz are getting forced out of business or have to bust there butts just to stay alive, i would like to support the locals but ill admit it is really hard when you are on a budget and can either buy a amp locally or buy the same amp, plus 2 subs off the internet.
