what electrical upgrades will be needed?

so ive got a 2004 dodge and right now ive got a hifonics brutus bxi1206 i believe it is running a pair of type r tens... i am running it at one ohm but i am thinkign about running the alpine mrp-m2000 in my truck and wiring the subs to 4 ohms.. my question is what will i need to do to run that amp properly? ill do the big 3 but will i need a bigger alt. ect? and how is the efficiency of that amp?

Alpine lists 80% efficiency and a super fancy "2 position gain switch". Sounds like we're movin back to the 80's with a hi or low gain switch. LOL. 80% efficiency is decent. IMO you're on the borderline of needing extra battery's and upgraded alt. Depends on how heavily u plan on using it how often. It definitely can't hurt adding an extra batt. and more charging. I'm running about 1300rms right now with single batt. and stock alt, but would upgrade if I could afford it.

As long as your wiring of the big 3 is solid and done with 0ga you should be good with stock alt, as i beleive that you have a 130amp. An upgraded battery would certainly help.
