What Should I Buy?
 

I am pretty new to car stereos. I understand how all the tech works, and how to install it all, but I don't know what brands are good and lines from what brands are good. I am looking at getting a whole new system for a 2006 GTO. Door speakers, head unit, subs (I want to get 2 12"s), amp for the door speakers, and an anonymous for the sub. I am looking to spend $800-$1,000 total. Should I get component speakers or separate woofers and tweeters? What speakers, subs, etc... would you guys recommend? Also is Skar Audio any good? My friend has 2 Skar IVXv2 12"s in his car and imo they sound pretty good, but I haven't been exposed to very many cars with "good" setups. Any help is appreciated.
