What type of sub enclosure to use?

Hi,
I have a pair of Audiobahn's AW1206T ( 1100 wrms each ) and don't know what kinda box to make.It says on their web site they are constructed for ported enclosures, but still work great in sealed enclosures.

I am looking for some SPL and ground shaking bass.

Please give me some advices with type of enclure and even measurements if possible.Photos are welcome too.

Thank you all !

Go ported tuned to around 35hz fro ground shaking and in the 50hz range for spl.

Thank you guys, but how do I tune the box to ceratin frequency?

StickyFingaz 08-28-2006 08:13 PM

Tuning frequency is dependant on a number of factors; The internal volume of the box, the size of the port opening, and the length of the vent all affect the tuning frequency of an enclosure. Here is a link to a pretty good tutorial on how to use WinISD, a program which will help you get an idea of what your box will do, as well as finding the tuning frequency. It can be a little complicated at first but play around and you will see how all the afformentioned factors affect the tuning frequency.

This is also a good program which will help intial box planning:
