Ok guys I need some advice right now. I have my sub and components and I want to purchase my amps before the end of next week. So here is the decision I have to make. I can order some Tsunami amps(built by avionixx) for around $1000CDN shipped or I could spend around $1400CDN and get some USamps. I am specifically looking at getting 2 1100's and 1 4440 from tsunami or 1 USA-2000 and 1 TU-600 or USA-600x. Which do you think I should get for my system? If I go with the US amps I wont have any money left over for wiring or deadening or even the new deck I am ordering. I dont want to "cheat" my system out of getting a good sounding signal.

What should I do?

BTW I am running an 18TiPro and cdt HD-642 3-ways.

I don't know about Tsunami, but US Amps are freakin' sweet! I'd love to have one or two of those!

Well I would love to run Us amps but im wondering if it really would be worth it to spend the extra money on them?

Another option is Arc amps (2 1000.2's and a 400.4)?

Yeah I guess it's your call. Whatever you think is going to be the best for your setup and as far as saving extra money for the other things that you were talking about wanting to do. Good luck!

I know in the end it is my decision but I am not sure if I should try to get everything now but not go as "high end" or just keep piecing it together with what is considered to be "high quality" stuff. I know that I would love to run Us amps but I would have to spend a little more money and im not sure if its gonna be worth it. I have been hearing that you cant really tell the difference in sound between amplifiers and that it comes down to being able to push the "higher end" amps harder without distortion.

So in your guys opinion should I go for
-Arc Audio ($1600-1700CDN)
-(2) Kar 1000.2T's (2000 wrms)
-(1) Kar 400.4 (200 x 2 wrms)

-US amps($1400-1500CDN)
-USA-2000 (close to 3000wrms)
-Tu-600 or USA-600x (175 x 2 wrms)

-Tsunami($1000-1100CDN)
-(2) DB 1100's (2200-2400wrms)
-(1) DB 4440 ( 2 x 220wrms)

Avionixx($1400-1500CDN)
-(2) 1200.2's (2800 wrms)
-(1) 440.4 (220 x 2wrms)

Note that these prices are what I figure I can get the stuff for.....most likely they would all be a little more but thats what it looks like at power vs. price.

what do you think?

Well I am thinking the best option might be to find a deal on a USA-2000 right now and then wait a bit to get the component amp or maybe do it the other way around. I really like the US amps....minus the fact they draw more current than the ontario power grid can handle. so right now I think its between US amps and tsunami, what would you choose for your final system?

Gilligan - IYO, what amp would be best for my components, something that in reality puts out around 150+ x 2 wrms @ 4ohms?

You already know what i'm gonna say TU-600 or 600X(you'll be getting more than 150 x 2 @ 4, but you already know that).

I've never really been into sq, but i put a 200X on my 61/2's not to long ago, and it's the nicest sounding by far i've used.

I'm signing on msn now to see if you got that phone #.
