What would you do?

I have Alpine Type R 6.5 components up front and Alpine Type S 6.5 coaxials in rear. I have an Alpine MRV-F340, 55x4 rms or 130x2 rms. Would you run all speakers off 4 channels or run the Type R's bridged and the Type S's off deck power? Thanks for any input.

Yes. 2 Orion HCCA 10's on 2K ported @ 40 hz. Would you mind elaborating on why all 4 on the amp?

luke99 08-04-2011 12:59 AM

koool should sound better running all the speakers off that 4 channel

Moley 08-04-2011 01:00 AM

Ya? I was thinking the fronts would like the more power and it would be louder that way. I guess all 4 would be more balanced.

luke99 08-04-2011 01:02 AM

ya all of those speakers in theory should be rated at the same power so if u run them off the 4 channel everything should ballance out

Moley 08-04-2011 01:05 AM

Well I guess there is only one way to find out and try both ways. I think your way of thinking makes more sense now that I think about it.

luke99 08-04-2011 01:09 AM

in theory you would get a better signal out of that 4 channel then from deck power , online says the type r componants are 110 watts and the coax are 90 watts so both in the same ballpark for wattage , so that 4 channel should work nicelly powering them all

Moley 08-04-2011 01:11 AM

How much louder would the R's go on 130 rms or is that too much power?

luke99 08-04-2011 01:12 AM

says their rated at 110 rms so they should be fine on that , not sure what your going for as far as loudness goes the type r speaker is a pretty good sounding speaker
