Sand it, apply a sealer, then prime, then paint. ;)

i would seal it , sand , prime , sand , prime color it tiger stripe and say oh yeah after words !!!

ya that waz my first attept at box making. play woood is not good. and the cuts whernt that straight either. but i like the color i looks cool under a dark light i think.

my first box was kinda funy, all different thicknesses, and colours, and leaked like a mofo till we siliconed it :D

ahh....
first boxes. i recall mine, i used 1/2'' mdf because i was too cheap to buy a full 3/4'' piece. then i just covered it with heavy felt b/c i thought that's were all the magic came from. little did i know that it's all about the sealing. i also thought that pretty boxes worked better - boy was i ever wrong now my boxes usually look like poo, but they can (usually) pound; with the exception of boxes found in brown or black colts using square subs. anyway, next year i will hopefully have not only loud, but pretty boxes as well. i plan to do paint jobs on most of them... |
