4 channel amp recomendations
hey guys,
iv recently sold my alero with the sound system for various reasons. i was however, very happy with the infinity reference 475a 4 channel amp i had that was putting out a nice 110 RMS per chan. unfortunatly the newer model of the same amp puts out conciderably less wattage, has a lower efficency and is more expensive. im looking to power Kappa fronts and backs and probably skip on the subs for my new mustang. id realy like something in the 100-150watt range per channel if anyone could recomend some brands of similar price range. i am deffinitaly after sound quality over volume on this one. thanks guys!

UPDATES!! alright so its been a while but I ended up going with the Polk Audio 1100.5 from Sonic Electronix
Polk Audio PA1100.5 (pa11005) 5-Channel or more Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix
I was almost turned off the amp as it seemed to be too good of a deal to be true. However, everything showed up in good working condition. The amp sends out very clean wattage for your mids, Hertz HSK components, and an impressive sub channel that can handle 600w rms at 1 ohm. Currently I am powering 1 of the new Infinity Kappa subs. It seems to be a good wattage match at 350w rms 2 ohms, plus I was very happy to find that Polk included the bass remote with the amp. But I wont know the full story till i get the sub out of my crappy old bassworx box and into somthing built right. The wireing and adjustment options on the amp are standard but not lacking for most people. Everything gets covered up nicely by the aluminum cover. The only downside to the amp is the size. At almost 27" long it wont fit just anywhere but then again having two amps to do the same job might take up more space. Overall its an awesome amp at a price that was beyond my expectations. Deffinitaly a 4.5 out of 5.
Unfortunatly I was not able to afford to buy everything i needed from local canadain shops, but most of the money was spent locally. Loving the Hertz components
