I know of a McIntosh, 50 X4. for $500.00 is it worth it? cosemetically, It doesnt look very good, but I couldn't care less, I'm not interested in looks, ONLY performace. the same guy, also says: that those (slightly) older Alpine amps are almost as good sounding. For bang for buck; what do you guys recommend?

I would be careful of a McIntosh in bad cosmetic shape, I know if I hade one it would be very mint even after 20 years. Make sure you get it checked out first.

Audison VRx4.300
Brax Graphic X2400
TRU C-7

the new PG xenons are awsome, they got a four channel that does 150Wx4.

If you want bang for the bux Kicker amps sound very good and are very reasonable $$$.

I like Adam's list, personally!
