I've had this amp for over a year now,
currently im pushing two 4ohm svc subs (orion xtr) at 8 ohm which is like 400 watts apprx.. the subs are rated at 250rms each.

Today on the way to work, after listening to it for about 20 minutes the subs cut out completly, i figured it was a loose wire. On the way home from work, the subs were playing fine for about 10 minutes then the exact same thing happened. This happened about 2 more times as i tried the amp at series and parallel. It is not overheating(based on touch) and the green light is on.
All wires look in tact. A capacitor is also being used.

Please help

Corroded connection ?
Getting a signal through the RCAs ?

how can i check if im getting a signal from the RCAs?

And the corroded connection .. where would I look for this?

you can check the rca's by hooking up a diskman or similar to the amp to see if there is input.

for the ground...follow the ground wire off your amp to the point where it contacts the frame of your car. If it looks a little corroded, unhook it, take a piece of sand paper and sand the connection down, put a little lithium grease there and do it back up
