where to buy higher output alt + bracket?

I searched and im not able to find the post where you guys refered a guy for the custom bracket and good cost efficient alternator seller/s.

Yesturday i was playing with my system and somehow my 1.2farad cap wasnt getting proper connection and my bass increased
it was like twice as loud... lol

im afraid to run my system without the cap as im afraid alt is going to fail again... at a same time i realize that the cap probably overworks the alt sameway as my amps would if cap wasnt there...

I did a partial 3wire upgrade and im trying to plan my buidget for new alt.

Thanks for help ahead of time guys

800 watts divided by 14.4 volts is only 56 amps current draw. You sure you need to spend all that money on an alt?

800 max or rms? 800 rmswill be about another100 amp draw, 800 max will be 40 amps draw

Ditch the cap, and make sure you do the big three. Then if you still have problems with light dimming and what not, then look into a new alt/battery combo. I think with 800 rms you can do it no problem.

Sorry Zinger, but 800 watts isn't a 100 amp draw my friend. Either that or I don't understand the math of dividing wattage by volts to get amperage. Sorry it I'm wrong but it's pretty straighforward.

800 watts rms should be on the line of whether or not you need an alt but you should be OK. I've seen higher wattage without a $500 alt upgrade.

Its around 70-80A at full power on 800Wrms roughly. Rule of thumb is 1A for every 10Wrms of power.

He's right. Assuming the voltage drops to 10 volts, there is a 100 amp draw. If the voltage was a more normal 13 to 14.5v, it would be even less.
