Well, If you would have asked me even a few months ago, I would never have thought that I would be buying a Sony Head Unit. The specs/price on this unit make it very attrctive, as well as the cosmetics.
I took a closer look at the CDX-M8815X, and don't think I could deal with the silver side controls.

I just checked out the 7715 at Visions on Marine Drive, I agree the controls and layout are pretty nice, classy looking faceplate, too. Burr Brown DAC, 4 volt/220ohm preouts, looks pretty good to me. Hmm, have to see what kind of feedback people get on this deck.

When did people starting liking Sony again? Should I jump on that bandwagon or is he looking for one of those classic Sony decks that were actually decent, never to be built again?
