where to get H.O. alternator -2000 altima
Does anyone know a place to get high output alternators for the cheapest possible price? I need it for my 2000 nissan altima. If a store ships only to the US that is okay because I have an uncle in michigan.
Thanks for any help!

the problem is none of those places have an alternator that fits my car with oem brackets.
How hard is it to put an alternator that isnt an OEM fit into it because if i can find one for a few hundred dollars cheaper i might do that.

it usually isn't that hard.... but like everything custom it kind of depends on your fab. abilities.
another place to look into is ohio generator.... I have ran thier alt's for years with out any complaints. I just upgraded to 2 - 245 amp alts on my car...the one I had before the upgrade lasted 8 years

technically i am strong but i lack the knowledge to know how to do it, what kind of things are involved?can you get commercial brackets? (i think i have seen some they are curved brackets) and what do you do about belts and such?

every car and every alt combo will require a different bracket..... without seeing what you have it is hard to say.... thats the mounting part of it.... you will also have to figure out the wiring as well. as far as belts, I just figured the belt length with a string and bought a belt the length I needed.
for example, here is the brkt I built for my 2nd alt. it replaced my a/c compressor.

you wrap your string around the pullies while someone holds the tensioner in the middle of its recommended operating position, as far as the brackets you are talking about..... like I said every application will be different.... untill you know what alt you are putting in there you wont know how your brackets have to look.
you have to be very carefull to have proper pulley alignment though, if not you will shread and throw belts
