anyone can build a box and "charge" for it, it all just depends how good you want it to look. i've made a few professional looking ones for really cheap myself in my basement with basically no tools or workshop. if you do a little research, you can always do it yourself, customize it, and get exactly what you want for a lot cheaper then most would charge, or you could ever find in a prefab box.

try it yourself....

ya its possible to build a box with only a drill for tools. ive made boxes, and ive got home depot to make every single cut for me. now that is only a simple sealed box, and the cuts werent 100% perfect, but after its carpeted it lookes great. just a suggestion if you dont have many tools to use.

well its not the actual BUILDING part i need help. i can handle that. its the specs for - port,cu.ft and tuning. this tuning part is a little hard too, especaillsy when i hear all this debate on SQ-low tuned SPL-high tuned. i dont know the difference in listening coz nobody around my home has anything to compare against.there are no competitions around me and most guys just got FS stuff.
i know you guys are know so much, but for me, i dont the difference in loud and deep bass from listening. i mean, isnt deep bass loud? i know its a stupid question, but all i know is i want that deep bass you can feel through ur seats and body kinda thing.the guy beside you in his car can feel haha. not too much rumble. something thats hits hard too. ive heard of SQL tuning too. like in the middle, mid-high 30's i dont know if this is right or the area i want to be in?? i REALLY need helpin the numbers part. can anyone help or give advice? oh, i have 4 10's Premiers.

YOu can do it yourself on a subwoofer box modeling program. I do all my designing using BassBox Pro. Its not hard, you just upload the subs data, which will most likely be already stored in the database, and voila, it whips up the best sounding, best performing box for you with no extra effort. Whats cool is that you can model several boxes at the same time, in a real-time environment, so you can pick and choose exactly what you want the sub to do, before you even cut the wood. or you can use LSPcad, or Calsod<--- very expensive,.... $3000 program, unless you get it free from Fileshare like I did for all of those.
Thats all I do. Works great, and the designs have never since cost me a cent.
