Who else is into the "Video" aspect of I.C.E?
 

I was just curious if anybody on these boards is into the "Video" part of ic-car-entertainment?

Myself - I was blown away with all the TV-hype of headrest/visor/and roll out monitors during the first year or so of the release. But now, it just seems that everybody has a TV/DVD/PS2 - and the hype has faded.

But now that my wife and I are expecting a baby in the next few weeks - I'm in the market for some form of "quiet-long-drive-trip-gadgets" that will help my addiction.

I have a connection for universal headrests with built-in 7" monitors made by "Innovatek" - and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this brand. My connection will sell them to me for $400/pair (leather or cloth wrapped) and will also include the video splitter-box to link all 3 monitors.

Is this a good buy - should I expect to get a lot of distortion?

btw - Currently, I have a Power Accoustiks 5.6" monitor up front with a DVD player in the glovebox.

innovatek is a ebay company pretty much. they sell for a lot cheaper then your connection wants to sell them to you for. on a side note, they're not the greatest of quality but they do work

We actually installed a video splitter/amplifier from innovatek. It was defective, they blamed it on the install and would not take it back. And yeah, it's an ebay company mostly. The company Concept recently released a set of 9" headrest screens which look fantastic. Same idea as far as the fabric colors are concerned and they drop right into most vehicles. Obviously going to cost a bit more than the innovatek but its definatly a better product.
