Who's got the best Gear?...Been out of the scene for some time.
Last time I was heavy into caraudio was early 90's. Back then Fosgate, Orion, Alpine were "the ". With all the offshore stuff today it looks like I'll be starting again...
I want to do a "good" system but still like the boom. I will be using factory speaker locations (4x6 front and 6.5 rear) plus adding an 8" sub or two. Back in the day 8's didn't deliver much bass. I want good responce down to 30-35Hz I was thinking dual bandpass... 35/85.
My head unit will be a Blaupunkt LosAngeles CDA147 (cause it fits with the car's late 80's design). What's some good junk for the trunk? Four channel amp/sub amp, drivers??? Overall system power in the range of 400 watts, with SPL levels capable of ~125db.
P.S. Does anyone know where I might track down Keith Walker these days, I knew him way back when... (ProSound in Nova Scotia).
