Lightbulb

This thread is funny.

Anyways - you all know that you can tune a sealed box right? They do have an F3 point. The shitty bit is that the alignment of the box and the F3 of the box are both affected by changing the volume. A vented box is more flexible this way..

CRAP! I don't want to make another box. Lol. I messed with the phase and either my ears are getting use to the subs being off or it actually helped. But the subs are still lagging. I was thinking that I could just glue slabs of mdf together to form a block and throw them in the box and glue them down. What do you guys think would be a proper volume, right inbetween the max and min recomended box volumes? I know the "best" will only be achieved by testing but I want to know what volume I should start at.

Personally, I would drop down a cube at a time, till you get close to what sounds good to you. Otherwise try 3 cubes each, and play from there. Forget about glueing pieces together, use styrofoam blocks or similar. Anything, that takes up volume and is not porous.

On The Subs Sounding Delayed Part , If Your Box Is Correct Or Too Big And Your Experincing Late Bass Your Missing Critical Midbass Freqs . Meaning Your Bass Isn,t Late , Its Just Missing Something However Using A Sealed Box That Is Too Small Can Cause Delayed Bass

Running two x-over point(with unknown filters) don't help either....... to get the subs and the frontend to line up.

I would also try shrinking the box size slowly by adding blocks of wood inside each chamber etc...at least this way will tell you i f there is somthing wrong with the box size...or a misconfigured processor.

Thats a great idea, I wish someone had thought of it earlier.....
