weather you want to or not just build a new box.. make it 3.5-4 cubic feet total... also add a small amount of fiber fill inside the box
this will make your 15's come to life with the type of music you listen too and will still hit the lows just not as hard as before... but definately more controlled and should not have as much delay in the sound

if i were Lspade69 id first play with this box to find out exactly how many cubic feet gets the job done best... then i would build a new box to whatever size works the best for him.

as pinhead pointed out low Q can be a good thing... and I also prefer low Q sub systems.... but its not for everyone and there are tradeoffs you need to consider....
in this case he should already have a moderate Q, but higher might be more to taste...... I say try 3-4cu" per.......

i wasnt shooting you down i just thought he would have better luck testing out 3.5 or 4 cubic feet with this box and playing around with more or less space just to be sure that it is that size he needs for the bass he wants and just incase it is just settings then he doesnt waste time building a new box because it sounded like he wasnt looking forward to building a new box.
I hope i didnt offend you i was just thinking about what i would do and was just throwing it out there

Why would it not make more sense to test something out for minimal cost and effort as opposed to just building another box that he may not be happy with? What is it that you think you know from building a lot of boxes that lets you know exactly what this guy wants his car to sound like?
Hell, I used to always intentionally build my boxes big and block them down until I liked the response...

The thing that stinks is that MOST of my daily driving songs have the low bass which I love dearly but everyso often when friends ride along I always throw in some techno so we can jam out while driving. The techno is the type of music that sounds SOOOO good on the computer but soooo bad in my vehicle. I suppose I would rather give up my great lows that I have right now in order for less bass lag (or wut ever it is called). So I will be throwing some stuff into my box and testing out what I like.
