why loud isn't always the best sound...

check out the facts about current recordings compressing the crap out of music so it can be played louder, not necessarily better sounding...
nothing against the SPL people

even the cleanest track and the loudest clip free system will sound good but i find that our ears "distort" put ear plugs in to lower the "volume" and its clear again.

but todays shitty recordings are starting to **** me off. theyre not even fun to listen to anymore even if the song is good. and on a good system u can notice theyre prerecorded that they call instruments, and the computer generated instruments.

but think it comes down to how much the artist wants to drop price wize into his album.. the less money the shittyer the recording.

Bottom line, if you're in a recording studio with half a brain, or if your engineer isn't just your boy with Fruity Loops, but someone with training in what they're doing, you're going to have a half decent recording. Red lights are bad, and yellow lights aren't that much better.
