Why Pioneer say GM7300 amplifier entirely handle 2x12" 400RMS subwoofers?

I have read this straight from the Pioneer web site.

They say. the GM7300 amplifier not just can power 2x12" 400rms but it totaly handle it..

Why do they say that?

GM7300 = 360 RMS at 2 ohms

360 / 2 = 180RMS to each subwoofers, right?

I'm looking at the website but can't find the 7300 anywhere but in discontinued products. There I can only get the manual and it doesn't say anything about handling or not handling multiple drivers.

It does say that it is stable down to 2 ohms (360 watts at 2 ohms) so however many subs you use that is the minimum final load you should use.

On that note sending 180 Watts might not be enough to sufficiently drive your subwoofers. What kind of subs are you using?

Pioneer GM-7300M - Mono Amp w/ 800 Watt Max Power - American TV

This text was took on a official Pioneer website, I just can't relocate it, but I guarantee you it was the exact same text as on the official site.

It say "The GM-7300M is built to efficiently handle low-impedance loads, down to 2 ohms. That's perfect for a pair of 2-ohm Woofers like the Pioneer TS-W307D2's, or a pair of 4-ohm Woofers like the TS-W307D4. And it doesn't just "handle" them: it continually monitors and adjusts the power supply voltage rails, for continuous, clean output"

And if you look at the specification of the TS-W307D4 for example: they are 400watt rms..

My subwoofers are MZS1204 150-300 watts RMS.. so it's going to suck if i only give them 180rms right?

And if I take a look at the reviews on the Circuit City website

All of these "morons" are connecting 2x 400rms subwoofer to this amps..

GM7300 review

thats pretty strange...

Can I expect this amp to power my two MZS1204 with enough power?

i have 2 woofers that do 250watrms each and its powered to 325 watts at 2 ohms, and its to loud haha so 360 watts seem good enoughj i dont think underpowering the sub will cause any damage to it ive had mine for 6 months

dont worry i got ripped off to! i didnt read before i bought it i learned everything about woofers after i bought it haha i realized i made a big mistake (i though woofers made the music louder but it didnt) :( and i could have gotten something much better by buying it online!

Yeah it can do it just fine. Each sub will get 180 watts. Just be careful when you are setting your gains so you don't clip your amp.

what do you mean clip your amp? i have mine all the way up would it break my amp?

Sometimes people don't like the overall volume of their bass, so instead of matching gains to the input signal, they just crank them up like a volume knob. This can cause the output signal to clip, which can damage your subs.

My first system was a Cerwin Vega 15D4 run off 200 watts and I was satisfied with it until it got stolen.
