I'm looking at a Hifonics Zeus ZX6400 4 channel amp to power a pair of component front speakers and a pair of (small) subwoofers. All the speakers are 4 ohm each. I'm guessing what I need is to run the amp in 4 channel mode while having mono output to the subwoofers? Thanks.

As long as you keep the gain down on the rear channel, you can probably get away with running the amp in 3 channel mode and put the subs on wired in parallel. If it gets too hot, get 2 more subs and run the fronts in 4ohm stereo and the rears in 2ohm stereo....

More subs are good...
