I got a MTX 6500D amp
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/thunder6500d.cfm I can get a great deal on two MTX 6000 series 12 inch subs which are either a T6124A @ http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive...nder6000sub.cfm or a T6124 @ http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive...nder6000Sub.cfm do you think that my amp will destroy these subs? or think they would be a good match? maybe i shoudl go with a bigge rmagnet like a ifinity 1230W. |
The infinitiys would be better.. but the MTX should handle most of what your amp can shell out...
|
cause i can get two MTX 6000 series for 50 bucks NEW 12 inch .
|
Id buy four then :D

Someone must want to unload them fast. Anyway, those subs are 300rms I believe, and the amp's 500rms; you might worry about having it clip because you prob won't max out your subs with clean power from the amp. Going to a better sub is nice, but you'll still have the underpowering issue.

That amp and woofer combination will be just fine. Remember to buy the proper impedance woofers if you have the choice.

i have found that the infinitys dont like to much abuse but he mtx are a very resiliant woofer in the right box they sound great ported too
